We are recruiting volunteers for future Habitat builds in Kona, Kawaihae, and Ocean View which are projected for this year. All volunteers must be 16 years of age or older for construction. Habitat West Hawaii welcomes both skilled and unskilled volunteers in the following areas: carpentry, plumbing, electric, painting, etc. Volunteers are needed on various weekdays (skilled only) and Saturdays (skilled and unskilled) from 8am-3:00pm.

Volunteers are always needed to help with the many different facets of our projects. Some areas in which we would appreciate your help and expertise include: Family Selection, Family Support, Fundraising & Public Relations, Site Selection, Construction, ReStore Volunteer and Volunteer Management. Global Village:

Habitat for Humanity’s Global Village program gives volunteers the hands-on opportunity to help build simple, decent housing in communities around the world.  Global Village volunteers experience another culture as they build houses and hope.

Habitat for Humanity West Hawaii is now accepting Global Village teams year-round. To find out how you can get involved in a Global Village team to Habitat West Hawaii, visit www.habitat.org/gv or contact Isobel Donovan, Resource Development Director at (808)331-8010.

AmeriCorps VISTA and National Civilian Community Corps Positions:

The AmeriCorps National Civilian Community Corps is a full-time residential program for men and women, ages 18-24, that strengthens communities while developing leaders through direct, team-based national and community service.
